Visit to Southhall Sikh Temple

As part of their arts and culture discovery, the Year 2 class visited the Sikh temple Sri Guru Singh Sabha in Southall. The pupils toured this impressive cultural and religious center of the Punjabi community, which can accommodate up to ten thousand worshippers and visitors on weekends. After an introduction to the principles of Sikhism and participating in a five minute meditation listening to the musical hymns in the prayer hall, they shared a community meal and enjoyed dhal and chapatis.
