As a continuation of their History and Geography studies throughout the year, our Year 5/6 pupils visited the Lyon region during a busy and enriching week. They discovered the vast historical heritage of ancient Lugdunum and modern Lyon, including a fascinating visit to the Maison des Canuts—the workers who made the city the world capital of silk. Their visit to the village of Pérouges immersed them in the Middle Ages, while the Musée des Confluences introduced them to ancient Egypt. Finally, they explored Old Lyon with its Renaissance buildings and learned about Jean Moulin, the hero of the French Resistance.
