Celebrating World Food Day
World Food Day – To mark World Food Day and in preparation for our pupils’ visit to the ‘Future of Food’ exhibition at the Science Museum, EIFA Parents Association organised an assembly to talk to our Y4 to Y9 pupils about nutrition. This year, the Food & Agriculture Organization ( FAO) of the United Nations entitled its campaign “Hand in Hand for Better Foods and a Better Future”. It aims at emphasising the importance of global cooperation to ensure that all people, including the younger generations, have access to diverse, nutritious, affordable, and safe food. It was very interesting for our pupils to be able to hear parents talk about their hands-on experiences in this field.
