Our Middle School pupils swapped the classroom for the galleries as they took part in an exciting Treasure Hunt at the National Gallery!
Their mission? To track down five different landscape paintings hidden throughout the museum. But finding them wasn’t quite that simple… 🕵️♀️
For each artwork, pupils were given only a written description, a small, printed detail from the painting, and a mathematical equation to solve. ➗ ➕ 🔎
A fun challenge combining art, observation, problem-solving and mathematics, the visit also complemented our pupils’ current work on the theme of “Landscape” in Art, giving them the opportunity to explore how different artists have interpreted and represented landscapes through their work.
A wonderful way to bring learning to life beyond the classroom! 💜🩵
