A Wonderful Achievement

🏆✨ A Wonderful Achievement for Our Middle School Pupils! ✨🏆

Our pupils took part in the national “La Flamme de l’Égalité 2026” competition organised by the AEFE with two projects exploring the theme “Women in Slavery”: a poem retracing the lives of four enslaved women or descendants of enslaved people, and a collaborative board game.

🥇 The latter won the Academic First Prize in the “Middle School” category!

Inspired by the journey of Harriet Tubman and the Underground Railroad, the game challenges players to work together to guide groups of enslaved people to freedom in the abolitionist Northern States or Canada, overcoming obstacles along the way. It also highlights the remarkable women who played a vital role in the fight against slavery.

👏 Congratulations to the entire class for their commitment, creativity, and the outstanding quality of both projects. Their work beautifully demonstrates how historical understanding, teamwork, and imagination can come together to create something truly meaningful.
