Our Budding Poet

✨ EIFA is proud to share that one of our talented Year 4 pupils has been selected as a national finalist in the “No Place Like Home” Art & Poetry competition, organised by the Sanctuary Foundation.

Children across the UK were invited to submit artwork and poetry exploring the experiences of children forced to flee conflict. Among many entries, her powerful and moving poem was selected as one of just three finalists in her age category.

She was invited to a ceremony at the British Library, where she had the unforgettable experience of hearing her poem read aloud by children’s TV presenter & author Gemma Hunt.🎤

At EIFA, fostering creativity, empathy and global awareness is at the heart of our educational mission. This recognition perfectly reflects our pupils’ ability to engage thoughtfully with important issues and to express their ideas with sensitivity, talent and eloquence. 🩵💜
