Ofsted Report 2022

Unfortunately, this was clearly not the result that we expected.

It appears that we have failed in our statutory duty to adequately report to the local authorities when children leave the school part way through their primary education (see pages 2 & 4). This requirement concerns school leavers, to ensure they do not go ‘Missing from Education’. We needed to inform the Department for Education (DfE) and the local authorities that some pupils had left our school part way through the education cycle and confirm details of the school they will be attending after leaving EIFA. We did have a few such cases, especially during the Pandemic, and we simply failed to implement adequate reporting.

We have submitted a remedial action plan to the DfE and we will receive a Progress Monitoring Inspection by OFSTED soon after the submission of our plan. We are confident that all areas of concern have been addressed and that we meet compliance in all areas.

All safeguarding measures for pupils at school are strongly implemented, as highlighted and noted in the Inspectors’ report.

Unfortunately, as the School was found to be “Inadequate” on that subject, it affected our overall effectiveness notation, although all other subjects were judged as “Good”. Some could have even been noted as “Outstanding”, had it not been for the failing (see page 1).

On the positive side, we are delighted that the inspectors were complementary on the quality of our education, our Early Years provisions, the behaviour and attitudes, as well as the personal development of our pupils.

As disappointing as this is, we will not be discouraged and will continue to work with enthusiasm for the success and wellbeing of your children.

Please feel free to get in touch with me directly, should you have any concerns or need to discuss this further.

Kind regards
